May 08 "The Strange Folk song - "Faces on Walls" - is included on the newly released "Sounds of Watford" compilation album (Smooth One Records). The album features songs from bands based in and around Watford; it can be purchased from Hooters Musical Instruments (Watford), & on-line from the Smooth One website (www.smoothonerecords.com) or from Amazon. Feb 08 "Next up came Strange Folk. What can I say about this hugely talented four piece but "wow". These guys have simply got to get signed by somebody. Driven on by the sensational, haunting voice of Annalise Spurr they reminded me all at once of PJ Harvey (never a bad thing), Fairport Convention and even, admittedly a strange one, The Bangles. For a female singer to win the battle with the venue's notoriously haphazard acoustics is an achievement in its own right." (Watford Observer 9th Feb 08)
